Situated in the tiny church square of the small picturesque village of Raissac d’Aude, nestling between the Aude and Orbieu rivers. This is a working vignerons village with a shop, cave (wine), post office and a public park with boules courts. Canet d''Aude village, 1.5km for supermarket, bar and a range of other small shops. The historic city of Narbonne with its impressive cathedral and a full range of shops and restaurants is approx 15 minutes drive. The smaller town of Lezignan Corbières is 10 minutes away. There is much to see and do in this area. The river Aude is close by or you can stroll along the tree lined Canal du Midi. Nearest beaches are at Narbonne Plage or Gruissan Plage (location of film Betty Blue), both approx 20 min drive. Easy day trips are possible to Carcassonne, which has a wonderful walled citadel perched high above the plain, where you can stroll among the craft shops and galleries. The Pyrenees are within easy reach, where you can hike or drive along the winding mountain roads. Visit Andorra for duty-free bargains! For history lovers there is a good choice of Cathar castles, usually perched high up on mountain tops or hidden in mountain valleys. The house was formerly a winegrower’s residence with an elegant façade and an enclosed front courtyard opening onto the village square. Renovated to a high standard to provide attractive and comfortable accommodation, it has a large, enclosed and private walled courtyard garden with private pool 8 x 4 x 0.9-1.6m depth with security immersion alarm, flower beds, and terrace. The small first floor terrace is ideal for an outdoor breakfast. BBQ.

Pleasantly renovated to retain the property’s character. Entrance from front courtyard to main living/dining area with a sofa, 2 armchairs, dining table and chairs for 10. Open plan to the fitted and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Double doors to courtyard. Main sitting area leads through to a second sitting room with two sofas, Sat TV (limited UK channels), DVD, CD player and huge closed fireplace (not for client use). StairS from sitting area leads to first floor, which can also be accessed via an outside staircase from the courtyard. Bed 1: double with ensuite shower room/WC. Bed 2: king. Bed 3: double with ensuite shower /WC. Bed 4: double, ensuite bath/shower/WC. Sep shower room/WC (next to bed 2). A single bed can be supplied in beds 1, 3 and 4 (on request). Second floor is not for clients use.
