"Le Verger" is a charming and comfortable old stone house (180 m2) set in it's own gardens with views onto the rolling Perigord countryside. The terrace to the front is ideal for sunbathing and barbecues. The house is perfect for walking the Auvezere Circuit which takes you along the Auvezere River gorge where you can canoe or simply visit the beautiful ancient Forge de Savignac. Spend the day swimming, boating or water-skiing at the Rouffiac Lake and leisure centre. Or perhaps the beautifully laid out French gardens of Hautefort chateau (20 mins) are more your style.
Situated on the edge of the Perigord Vert, "Le Verger" is also well positioned for discovering France's truffle capital, Perigueux, as well as the famous Dordogne villages (Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Brantome, Beynac and La Roque Gageac are well within 70 kms).
Don't miss the remarkable caves of Lascaux (30 mins).
