Nearest beaches Carry-le-Rouet 95 km, or Cassis 125 km. Cavaillon, 20 km and Apt 15 km for greater choice of shops and restaurants. Other nearby villages include Bonnieux, Lacoste and Ménerbes, all featured in Peter Mayle’s book “A Year in Provence” – immerse yourself in the charm of their ancient streets and alleys. Roussillon, one of France’s most beautiful villages, 8 km, is worth a visit to see the amazing colours of the rock formations. Gordes, clinging to the edge of a spur of Mont Ventoux, has sandstone houses tumbling down narrow cobbled streets and a colourful selection of boutiques offering a range of Provençal products. From here, try an exhilarating drive down to the C12th Cistercian Abbaye de Sénanque and its lavender fields – the monks still produce the pungent herb-flavoured liqueur Sénancole! Golf at Provence country club, Saumane, 22 km, and riding nearby. International airports: Marseilles 80 km, Nimes 80 km.

This spacious modern villa attractively set on a hillside below the village has superb views towards the Lubéron hills and Bonnieux. Entry by gate into private driveway and garage for one car. Relax on either of the terraces beside the beautiful salt-water pool 8 x 3.6 x 1.0 – 1.4m depth with security immersion alarm, and pretty flower-filled borders edged with dry stone walls. Steep 20 ft drop from the 1m high boundary wall to the lane below – careful supervision of children essential. BBQ.

Two steps down into main living area with beamed ceiling, comfortably furnished with 2 leather sofas, satellite TV (SKY), radio, DVD, CD and tape player, open fire, and french windows to terrace. Archway to dining area with impressive oak dining table seating 8. Arch to fully-fitted kitchen with beamed high ceiling, breakfast table and 3 chairs, french doors to patio with elegant table and 6 chairs. Utility room with dishwasher and washing machine, stairs down to wine cave! On ground floor Bed 1: 2 singles, 1 double. Bath/shower/WC. Stairs to 1st floor Bed 2: pretty hand-painted double, doors to terrace and wonderful views! Bath/shower/ WC. Bed 3: double. All bedrooms have beamed ceilings. Bedroom windows have fly/mosquito screens. Friday changeover. Non smoking property.
