This beautiful, large apartment in the Chateau des Forges. The Domaine des Forges is in the province of Poitou. The area surrounding the Chateau has yet to be discovered by tourism. It still has all the peace and tranquillity of genuine French country life. There are extensive farmlands, woods, marsh lands and delightful villages with rich histories. The attractive, sloping landscape is criss-crossed with brooks and small fens. There is an abundance of wheat fields and colourful sunflower fields. The country town of Poitiers is thirty kilometres away and Parthenay is eighteen kilometres. They are both well worth a visit. La Rochelle and the coast are an hour's drive. The small town of Vasles is just three kilometres away and is good for basic shopping.
