Set on a steep Tuscan hilltop, close to the medieval town of Pistoia, it also offers spectacular views of the countryside that surrounds it. The park has two lovely pools with a grassed area for sunbathing and a bar and restaurant with a terrace. The pizza and pasta here are so good that even the locals eat here. This is a super base when you want to sample the authentic Tuscan lifestyle, with gems like the cities of Florence and Lucca within easy reach, not to mention Pisa, with its famous leaning tower.
